Stunning wine with incredible complexity in the nose. A melange of red fruit tones with Asian spice a hint of creamy wood and a touch of whole cluster funk. Amazing texture with silky tannins and more bright red fruit flavors. Amazing length. Youthful with huge upside.

2002 Domaine Leroy Les Beaux Monts Vosne Romanee burgundy. Lunch at the house w J&D B, A&S. Drank side by side w the 1996 Domaine A. Rousseau Clos St Jacques Gevrey Chambertin. Maybe the other wine was a better wine, but this wine was definite drinking better today. Much softer, rounded, balanced, while the other was more tannic and musty. We all preferred this to drink today.
