Feels a bit young and unforgiving. But well made. Light cherry fruit. Nice aromatics. Great juiciness. Great balance. The les vergelesses is drinking better now.

Always the most structured and backwards of the Girard Pernand 1er Cru's but also the deepest. Nose of deep strawberry, spice, mineral, but just beginning to open, needs hours, days to get there aromatically. Palate is tight, spicy and structured but fans out on the finish with excellent structure, deep, vibrant tannins, sappy, tangy and nice sweet fruit and lively acidity. Still, needs a major decant. Will revisit.
