Domaine Gramenon
Ceps Centenaires La Mémé Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend

Not drinking this now, but just updating on the analysis values found.
TA: 5.1 g/l
pH: 3.57
Alc: 14.7 %
Malic: 0.0 g/l
VA: 0.59 g/l
Values look reasonable for the variety and climat IMO. Alcohol declaration's pretty spot on too.

Looking at the Gramenon Cep Centenaires again. As with before, high toned red fruits (almost candied) dominate the nose and palate. I had a second look the next day with BM (winemaker). Less fresh definitely, seeing some Brett. Olives, meat, bunch, herbs, and some sweet spice that extends to finish. Rustic tannins. I always forget to assess tannins. BM noted the tannins appear disjointed here. Agreed, but what you can you expect of such a young wine with 100% whole cluster(?). It's got potential IMO, and I'd drink it anyday.

Century old vines, whole cluster, and all that minimal intervention stuff.
Reductive at first. Give it a bit of air (or a lot, or some copper) and it shows great concentration, purity, and dare I say brightness even. Sweet aromatic red fruit with a smooth spicy finish. So easy to drink now, but will need to revisit it in a couple of years.
