Reddish tawny, translucent. Youthful looking, especially when compared to its older brother the 1990 next to it. Tart Bing cherry nose. Also notes of rhubarb, earth, pepper and some spice. Young in the mouth. Still has some pucker and is very refined. Gave this 7 hours of air in the decanter and it needed every minute to open up and show its power and potential. Had wanted to check in on some big 93s and it's clear these bottles are built for the long haul. If you target the consumption of any similar 93s, be sure to give em lots of air. (Bday 6 of 13)

1993 Domaine G. Roumier Bonnes-Mares PN. Lunch at house- opened when JC and his friends showed up. Drank this in comp to 1993 Domaine Dujac Bonnes-Mares. This was definitely the winner. Much more subtlety and nuance in the sweetness of the wine. Really enjoyed- a real treat!
