Domaine Faiveley, Mazis-Chambertin, Grand Cru. 2006 Vintage. Medium Garnet. Umami notes on the nose and palate - wet earth, mushroom, dried herbs - also ripe black cherry, wild strawberry, violet, vanilla, nutmeg. Tannins are very present but also soft. Elegant wine. Demure at first but with time and acquaintance opened up nicely.
