Struggled with this one. I wanted to like it but something kept pushing me away… Incredibly strong herbaceous notes, perhaps fennel, but very green. Had intense mineral notes but lacked the acidity I was expecting. Some citrus. Maybe it’s better with some food but I’m not sure how I’d pair it?

Wow, this is different. Fennel and...I can't even identify. Unique in a good way

Chateau Pegau (love this producer) Lone Cote du Rhône White is an interesting blend of Clairette (40%), Borboulanc (30%), Grenache Blanc (20%) and Ugni Blanc (10%). Aromas and flavors of white peach, pears, apple and lemon. Additional notes of minerals, white flowers and herbs. Straw gold color, medium body and refreshing. A bit of a creamy texture but no sign of oak. Long and lingering finish. Excellent! Revisited in October 2025. More pronounced citrus (lemon/line) notes. Also, an additional toasted almond note on the palate. Still fantastic!
