Domaine du Pegau
Cuvée Lône Côtes-Du-Rhône Grenache Blanc Blend
Côtes du Rhône, Southern Rhône, Rhône, France
Struggled with this one. I wanted to like it but something kept pushing me away… Incredibly strong herbaceous notes, perhaps fennel, but very green. Had intense mineral notes but lacked the acidity I was expecting. Some citrus. Maybe it’s better with some food but I’m not sure how I’d pair it?

Sep 9th, 2023Wow, this is different. Fennel and...I can't even identify. Unique in a good way

Oct 24th, 2021Chateau Pegau (love this producer) Lone Cote du Rhône White is an interesting blend of Clairette (40%), Borboulanc (30%), Grenache Blanc (20%) and Ugni Blanc (10%). Aromas and flavors of white peach, pears, apple and lemon. Additional notes of minerals, white flowers and herbs. Straw gold color, medium body and refreshing. A bit of a creamy texture but no sign of oak. Long and lingering finish. Excellent! Revisited in October 2025. More pronounced citrus (lemon/line) notes. Also, an additional toasted almond note on the palate. Still fantastic!
