A delicious Provencal style rosé with a blend of Cinsault/Syrah/Grenache/Merlot grapes. Wondefully aromatic with jasmine, honeysuckle, and strawberry coming through. The pallate adds complexity via a salty minerality and a perfectly balanced refreshing acidity. Worth noting that this rosé improved after warming and was still just as good on day two. Paired quite well with ginger pork meatballs & bok choy! ($17) [7/3/20]

On this Sunday night the start of a new work week I have opened the 2019 Domaine de Triennes Rosé. This wine comes from Nans-les-Pins, France located between Marseilles and Toulon North of Bandol. This is a blend of mainly Cinsault with smaller amounts of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot.

On the nose I am getting red rasberry, cherry, tangerine, pomegranate, red currant, musky melon snd floral notes.

On the palate there is raspberry, tart cherry, strawberry, nectarine, a spiciness and good minerality.

This wine is pale pink onion skin in color, light to medium bodied with medium + acidity tuat moves into a long crisp fresh citrus finish. We are looking at a new week ahead and I wish everyone a safe and healthy prosperous week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Fresh, clean, easy to drink. Light fruits, medium acidity, a tiny hint of bitter. Tasty.

Nice Provence Rose from Le Domaine de Triennes & the team of, Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée Conti & Jacques Seysses of Dujac.

Classic, well crafted, great on a warm day & palate shifter from white to red. Excellent QPR @ $15...not giving up my Domaine Tempier habit but, will get worked into the mix.

I won’t open another bottle for one to two more years. Needs some bottle evolution to soften its sweetness and integrate in IMHO.

2019 - really lovely with lite strawberry and melon rind and a nice finish. Nice for the price.
