Dark berry fruit, thyme, earth. Rose petal nose. Chalky tannins to finish. Definitely on the masculine side so would like to see this in 5 years

2012. There should be points off for the ugly new labels. Regardless, this is pretty great. Dazzling complexity for the first few sips but it tightens up before you get the chance to take inventory. It does need some violent shakes to ditch the CO2. Then you get a fairly restrained red fruited profile with a strong stony element and a firm structure. The fruit is airy and not as saturated as you might expect from something so young, which really drives home how much this is powered by the structure.
