Crazy good Bourgogne blanc from a Chassagne star. Richness with precision. Nose of smoky, crushed stone minerality, perfectly ripe starfruit and green apple skin, lemon curd; underscored with some Parmigiano-esque lees character and slight baking spice and very subtle creme brûlée caramelization character from ~20% usage of new oak for barrel fermentation. Palate is identical to the nose and walks that same line between richness and precision. Medium (+) acid, medium body, dry, with great oily texture. Excellent affordable intro for this producer. Pretty much baby Chassagne-Montrachet.
