Wow 2013 drinking fantastic, 200 year old vines! I can taste the ocean breezes - minerals screaming for seafood!

Meyer lemon oil, ripe white peach, asian pear, green banana, citrus blossoms, spring honey, tea leaves, lees, damp earth, salt, mineral, elegantly phenolic on the back end. It’s extract, oak upbringing, and lees enriched mid-palate are kept in check by ripping acid and tight, coiled energy. Very precise and pure, harmonious.

What other Albariño is on this level? I'm asking out of genuine curiosity, because I'd like to taste more. This isn't the high yield confectionary/glade perfumed Albariño most (including myself) are accustomed to. It's saline with broad texture and powerful minerality. There are vines in this vineyard that are 250+ years old and it shows. What a great site. There is truly world class white wine coming from Do Ferreiro.

One of the most saline (non-sherry) white wines I’ve ever had. Amazing.

Gruner-like vegetal qualities on the nose. Tarragon, brine, spice, and significant weight on the palate. Not a lot of primary fruit but very good.

Watermelon rind, honeydew, plenty of acidity and some weight on the palate. Always excited to drink this wine from 200+ year old vines.
