We love Del Dotto wines! "Silk juice" as they say. Life is better. The sky is bluer. The air is fresher! I feel more dashing and cerebral! Get this new world Pinot if you can!!

And to think I got this at a discount at the winery because nobody wants their pinots… crazy. I bought a bunch. Beautiful stuff - not jammy, just a bit peppery, and silky on the finish. Alcohol is perfectly melded in.

My taste never really aligned here. Definitely not a pop and pour wine. This took a while to find its feet. Initial nose of this wine I thought it was corked. 20 minutes later, MUCH improved. Nose of dirty funeral flowers, violets, and a hint of grilled meat. The entry is more on the sweet than savory side with dark roasted fruits and tobacco leaf. The middle is a bit spicy and has a lot of meaty Syrah character quite honestly. Finishes with light acidity, little tannin, hint of mushroom, green olive and black cherry. If tasted blind, I likely would have guessed this was an entry level Washington Syrah.

Smells fruitier than it tastes. Drier than most pinots but a little little bit of fruit and spice at the end.

Great Sonoma Pinot. Soft, elegant. Fruity with a wonderfully long finish....can smell a hint of the yeast and fermentation....reminds me of being in the caves at a tasting....just lovely.
