Opened up very nicely over an hour or so. Layered fruit but also a depth of flavor and a nice tannin and cigar leaf finish. Lots more punch than you’d expect for a Pinot.

I was drawn to this bc I haven’t seen many NZ pinots. Really liked this one. Round and deep fruit w a depth of flavor that seemed at odds w it’s light texture, in a good way. Glad I have some more.

Nice young Pinot, signs of tertiary development appearing. Some barnyard, secondary aromas and mouthfeel changes as time and air do their thing.
