Firm down the middle, super enticing nose of dried forest floor, dark dried fruits and all around over delivering on the acidity and tannins. Could've waited 10 more years but happy to have met it tonight.

Oct 4th, 2015Beautiful time to open this wine. Dark fruit tones are aging beautifully and delicate nuances on the nose take you for a magic carpet ride on the palate. Layer upon layer of pipe tobacco, toasted toffee and tea, leather. They all show up for the party but let the fruit and structure of the wine do the majority of the talking.

13.5 alc. beautiful wine, so elegant and fresh after 22 years. Tannin quality is perfect.

Cork still in tact with a nice purple colour. Somewhat muted bouquet and minimal flavors as it lost a lot of fruit. Drink up, not much life left, but a pretty nice bottle regardless. Had this with MG, MM and JM.
