Excellent red from northern Greece, this wine is unlike any I’ve had before. Complex layers of blue and black fruits, nice minerality, and an expansive palate. Has hints of eucalyptus that reminds me of Heitz Martha’s Vineyard. Without question the best red wine from Greece that I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a restaurant in Athens, do not miss Scala Vinoteca. The food is excellent, the wine list not long but very good, and the service is fantastic!
