Reserve Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon

A wine being hawked by a big box wine store. Not sure why “Reserve” is put on a $13 wine?? Aromas of berry and smoky spicy. Cherry and tart plum flavors with sharp pepper spice and herbal notes. Rugged tannins makes it difficult to enjoy. Needs a big food dish. Pass. Tasting Sample. Consistent notes from the ‘18 I tasted last year.

All around great wine with beef. Great fruit flavor. I will definitely stock this for day to day drinking.

Color of bloody grapefruit with ruby tone at the bottom of the glass. Nose of fermented cabbage, some strong alcohol, some chocolate, some aldehyde, and a bit stingy. Taste is quite sweet and zest, almost no tannins, and basically follows the note of the nose. Aftertaste shows some more warmth from alcohol. Not complex and straightforward. Good for daily leisure.

Delicious! Intense berry flavors with strong oak undertones

A bit astringent. Smells like cherries and vanilla. Tastes oaky.

Sweet to my taste but still good

Middle of the road in almost every aspect. Not bad, but probably a little overpriced for what you get. Wouldnt turn away a glass, but wouldnt buy this one again.

Great on its own. Excellent with cheese or a meal. The French oak finish is subtle.

Ruby hue with medium-high saturation. Aromas and flavors of baking spice, bell pepper, black cherry, cassis, coffee, licorice, oak, and toast. Medium-heavy tannins and medium-high acidity. Smooth and complex on the palate. Spicy on the finish.
