Per Bianca of PBB: This is a different kind of Catalonian red than what I am used to drinking, but it's the perfect kind of seasonal switch red that can be had with a slight chill or just as it is. There's a freshness and fruitiness to it, but smooth and medium acidity making it really easy to drink without any surprise angles or sharpness (which usually comes with bright high acid reds). Tannins are really smooth as well, a nice medium bodied red with notes of tobacco and cherry, hay and black pepper. The winemaker suggests to drink now or hold for the next 3-4 years, and I think it would be killer with a meat or mushroom paella, or some spanish chorizo.
