Not your typical Barolo. A bit darker in color and not as rustic in style. Bold aromas of dark cherry and baking spices. Rich fruit forward pallet (again cherry - younger vines?) with notes of earth and Smokey oak. Not terribly tannic and nicely balanced acidity. Rich and velvety but there is a bit of a sour note on the finish. Easy drinking and more “New World-like” in style. Quite Interesting. On the second day, much more earthy and traditional in style. Revisited in June 2022. Progressing nicely!
