Concha y Toro 2016 Serie Riberas Gran Reserva Chardonnay (SRP $17): This Chardonnay is from the producer’s Riverbank series, showcasing single-vineyard wines that are in close proximity to one of Chile’s major rivers. The fruit for this Chardonnay was sourced from Ucúquer vineyard in Colchagua, approximately 10 miles from the mouth of the Rapel River. This wine is mouth-coating, with round, creamy texture. Flavors of tropical fruit—namely grilled pineapple, sugar-laced apple tart, beeswax, and lemon zest, are framed by medium toast and brown baking spice. There’s just enough acidity to keep it honest and enjoyable—very nice with smoked salmon rolls. #Chile #ChileanWine #Colchagua #Chardonnay #wine #winelover #wineblogger #winewriter #myvinespot #winewednesday
