Big body of blue and red fruit! Goes down too easy for how bold she is

This was decent once it had a chance to blow off some of the mercaptan sulfur and rubber smells. Aside from being badly reduced, there was still good black fruit character present although with somewhat muted aroma. This was despite being decanted for several hours to allow the reduction to blow off. I wouldn't buy it again but it wasn't terrible.

My favorite of the new line. Bigger body than the cab, but dry, spicy, and peppery. Surprising for a mass produced wine.

Concannon Vineyard San Francisco Bay Petite Sirah 2013

Deep purple in color with a purple rim.

Light nose of blackberries, plums, figs, asparagus, sweet cherries, peppercorn, oak, licorice, vanilla, light metals and spices.

Full bodied, but not bold, with medium plus acidity and great legs.

Bone dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, wood, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with big, full tannins and black pepper.

A Nice Petite Sirah. Enjoyable by itself or with hearty food. Needs 2 hours to open up, which I didn't have, but the last few sips were the best...

14.3% alcohol by volume.

Beautiful deep purple color. Med in body, very drinkable. Fruit forward, red berries (strawberry and blue berry). Very smooth, slightly dry, clean finish.
