Holy vanilla, Batman! Sweet red fruit also very present, and a little leather and oak. A “rich” wine due to all the sweetness. More of an “in its own” or dessert drinker, but likely a varied-crowd pleaser. $22

I tried Columbia Crest C.S and it was excellent. The Merlot is not quite as good but still it’s a very decent wine.

Smoke from a nice candle and vanilla in with the red fruits on the nose. Flavor is pretty rich with plenty of pie and vanilla to go with the berries and cherries. Could use a bit more acid and ink but represents WA Merlot adequately.
