wild ripeness & unbridled oak tendencies in the aromatics were pronounced - lots of fruit here but it will need to calm down. will it?

Elegant. Drinking nicely

Beautiful nose, slightly thin/watery on the palate. Still nice backbone with rounded tannins. Pared with traditional stew.

Rich I hope you’re watching from heaven. A toast to you good friend. An old familiar wine from the right bank. Layers of fruit and coffee

Suffered a little from the competition tonight. Seems to be on the bottom end of the 98 right bank wines. Might still be improving.

Drank on 04/02/18 at Parkview HKG. Less stronger than La Mondotte 2001 earlier.

Give this 5-10 more years. Still tight and even a long decant didn't get it to budge much. Still a great wine.

Oh what a sweet little St Emilion. My last bottle.
