Finally, after hours in the decanter it is peaking. While it is still quite lean, the plentiful gripping tannin has softened considerably and now the hidden fruit is showing fresh and lively flavours and a distinct minerality. Up until this point I was not enjoying it, however it was enjoyable reaching this point ;) Great!

What I want Bordeaux to be. All the black currant, tobacco etc, but still showing the bell pepper/wildness of the old days. Lovely with our St Patty's brisket.
