Bekaa Valley Red Blend

Some hint of vanilla dusted prunes. Dark amber. Tobacco and sage. Little mushroom and wet leaves. Magical blend.

Great story behind this vintage and fun wine to try. Madeira-like which helps balance out the va--but turning into a very interesting wine.

Difficult harvest is a dramatic understatement. A wine that was released 30 years after the harvest, which was also late. Not to mention the late arrival at the winery. Animal, gamey. Muddy, earthy nose. In palate the complexity and expression of great Madeira including all of the chocolate, nuts, caramel & dried fruit. This wine is special and it is alive. Memories of great, special holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, family. Liquid emotion.

Not as much finesse as some of the younger brews, but still kicking hard!
