In phenomenal shape! People guessed left bank or Napa merlot/cab of between 15-25 y.o.a. Still opaque, with a phenomenally aromatic nose of fried T-bone steak, roasted peppers, blackberry compote, and thick farm soil. Still with fine, refreshing tannins and well balanced acidity. A fantastic wine, surely able to hold it's own agains the fabled '47?!
