Vintage 2000 - a smell of stable, very dominant after opening, fading away after a few hours. The wine gaines some pleasure then. But I think it's past its peak. Drinking well with a Boeuf Bourguignon (made with Bordeaux 😏)

Great value Medoc from an excellent vintage. A little watery at the rim but no bricking and still largely opaque; signs of integration and gaining complexity but still a little closed on the nose, though hints of cedar and blackcurrent; better on the palate - still tannic but balanced and long. Will improve well over the next 10-15 years.

Very mellow and smooth, red fruits. Not as flavourful as I expected.

Solid basic BDX, delivering all the basic elements - cassis with touches of cedar, earth, and tobacco. Nose is a little suppressed, and surprising amount of grip suggests that well stored bottles might actually need a few more years. Good find for $35, but I wouldn't spend much more on it.

Liquoroce & sweet red fruit nose, faded raspberry palate with a touch of milk chocolate at the back, finish good but not too long. Tannins overcoming slightly, a little past it but still a nice bottle.
