Opened Jan 2019 and decanted an hour. Aroma okay but not distinctive. High tannins with somewhat bitter aftertaste but dry. Not impressed.

Decanter’s blind testing resulted in astonishing score of 97 and definitely it was the reason for me to purchase this bottle! This is definite something “different” if not to say a “modern” type of Bordeaux wine and I enjoyed it a lot.

Now this is a surprise. Bought for 9€ primarily for cooking, this proves to be highly drinkable!
Merlot-dominated seductive dark fruit, with a whiff of pencil shavings and a cool graphite streak (Haut-Medoc gravel). On the palate this is medium bodied, perfectly balanced with ripe fruit and nice grippy (but not dry) tannins. Good length & definition, too.
Pretty sure I wouldn’t give it 97pts Decanter awarded this with, but for an everyday Bordeaux, this is actually hard to beat!

Expressive fruit, both red and dark, straightforward with decent minerality.
