I bought a bunch and tried these over several years. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and green fruits with a citrus notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and pear, crisp with good balance, fresh with lively acidity. Long finish, ending with nutty earthy tones. Distributor I met indicated wine can be put down for a few years, he was correct, outstanding wine, still tasting great.

Château La Nerthe dates back to 1560, records suggest it might even go back to the 12th century making it one of Châteauneuf’s oldest estates, located in the heart of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC region of France near Avignon. Ruby with aromas of red fruit. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault. The palate shows raspberries, plums, cherries and blackberries and hints of leather, spice and black pepper. Aged in oak, the wine was complex and elegant with smooth tannins, long finish. Nice!

Elegant and lithe for CdP. No excesses here. Just purity of fruit and smooth tannin structure that lifts the fruit. Red fruit spectrum and herb. One better CDP's I've had recently.

A reliable CDP with its own style. Soft with nice woodsy and dried fruit character.
