Dark Ruby in color with a nice wide purple rim.

Light nose of plums, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, earth, animals notes, violets, cloves, licorice, mint, spices and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries plums cherries, raspberries, earth, oak, licorice, green vegetables, spices, dark chocolates and peppercorn.

Nice finish with big, aggressive tannins and tart pomegranates.

A nice red blend from Lebanon. Still Young, but enjoyable with food. Needs one hour to open up, and then huge tannins show up, with nice acidity to back it up. However, it still unbalanced and will be better in 2 to 3 years.
Nice and entertaining, not very special, but above average, nonetheless .

A blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are grown in the bekaa valley, hand harvested and hand sorted.

I had the 2012 before, and liked this vintage better, maybe because it spent a longer time in the bottle.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

2013 opened January 2021. Leather iand cherries on the nose. Cherries and Cassis on the front (but not too fruity). Medium Tanic structure that starts out soft but that ends on a very strong puckery note at the finish. Very drinkable, but the finish is a little too loud for the rest of the composition of this wine. I’m going to let it sit in my decanter for an hour before I have another glass. I’ll report back if it improves.

Reporting back: it didn’t improve in the decanter, but it didn’t degrade either. I’m wondering about the other wines Lebanon has to offer—but the current political situation there makes me think I won’t be able to try any of their wines anytime soon.

Light acidity and tannins. Paired well with lamb, would go very well with cherry kabab.
