Château Fonbadet Pauillac 2017: Medium-full bodied. Nice balance. Good acidity and approachable tannins. Bursting black fruits. Plum. Leather. Vanilla. Oak. Medium plus finish. Consisting of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, the youthful Bordeaux blend produces great fruit concentration with nice length & elegance. All in all, a respectable young (a good cellar candidate) yet very enjoyable wine. Cheers🍷

This is an excellent wine - dark cherry, currant, liquorish, herbs, and a little earth. Tannins are still quite prominent as expected in this youngin’. After 3 days, The wine became more expressive and tannins were more approachable though were still prominent - absolutely delightful at that point. Certainly needs a decant or minimal aeration to start to access some of what it has to offer after the cork is popped. Should last for a number of years. Outstanding QPR!
