A warm vintage, medium lemon color with aromas of white fruits and wet stone aromas. On the palate flavors of ripe apple & peach, very complex, lively acidity. Long finish ending with mineral and sweet honey character, should age well, but great now!

Chateau d’Épiré, Savennières, Grand Cru d’Anjou, Loire Valley, 2019 ABV 14.5%. 100% Chenin Blanc.

On the nose are youthful notes of fresh pear, apple, lemon pith, kumquat, tart white peach, fennel, white blossom, beeswax, wet slate, crushed stone, and seashell.

On the palate it’s dry with medium(+) acidity, high alcohol (14.5%!), medium body, concentrated flavors consistent with the nose.

Delicious, complex, cerebral, and a versatile food complement.
