Château de Cary Potet
Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Pinot Noir
Good value house pour Bourgogne rouge. The ripeness of the Cote Chalonnaise comes thru. Quaffable with lower acid than anticipated.

Aug 31st, 2020Still loving this simple Pinot. We paired it with a (very) hot and spicy turkey and rice dish and it held its ground brilliantly. Superb cherry nose with a tiny touch of iron and hay, nice lower acid palate with a vibrant cherry note and a soft mouthfeel. Very gentle tannins before a long cherry finish. Simple yet delicious

May 30th, 20213rd time tasting and prior notes apply. A very good value for the money, especially for a burgundy pinot. Beautiful fruit and structure, very playful

Feb 20th, 2021Second try with this one in 2 weeks but now all my senses are back in full effect. Typical youthfull, playful nose with cherry and hay. The palate is well designed with sheer acid, a blooming cherry note all along, some nice width, a tannic wall in mid palate which kicks things up a notch, leaving a slighlty drying effect which lasts until the very end. The finish is fruity. A very lovely, yet simple wine. It's rare these days to find burgundy pinot for that price (equivalent to less than 10 euro in local currency) and that lovely.

Nov 8th, 2020The nose is discreet with a full on cherry note. The palate is well designed with a strong acid backbone, a bright fruit all along, some width with a bit of matter on the sides, a long fruity finish. Simple, delicious pinot.
