Cranberry and oak, but could be aged some more. Wonderfully thick and stood up to the Mexican food we paired it with.

This wine is very earthy. Reminds me of fresh mulch in smell and flavor. Brought me back to driving through farm country in Iowa. Not my favorite.

Fruity and not too harsh. Slight tanin finish. Not overbearing. Very drinkable.

Given a little time to open up , it displays cassis, plum, a little cedar, and light tannins. Went really well with steaks. Good deal at $13.
