2005 vintage. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Surprisingly this seems to rejuvenate in the glass with ripe cherry fruit complementing the tertiary aromas (tobacco, mocha). Medium-bodied, with a serious ripe tannic structure, fresh acidity, a certain complexity and good length. Another great example of the ageing potential of the more "humble" Bordeaux regions.
