overly ripened fruit with extraction to match. unyielding tannins with jammy fruit flavor bigger than a whale.

Big big big covered in big. Very tannic and young. Started yielding a little 4 hours in but a definite hold for now. It's all promise right now.

Love these wines. It is showing extremely well halfway through its life.

Another great 2005, these are ready to go.
2002 Still my favorite though .
Best 05 is Shafer & Vineyard 29 estate in my opinion. You must try them both out of a mag preferably

Tart red and black fruits, great balance and acidity. After 4 hr bottle decant it is finally opening up. Still fairly tannic. This has the legs for another 10+ years

Ink grade, leather, lots of minerals, but soft to drink, tasting some cassis, black cherry, strong finish.
