The 9th and final Wine in the Gevrey Chambertin Grand Cru bracket. Quite a rich dense crimson in colour. A tarry nuance to the black cherries on nose and palate. A medium to full bodied palate finishing with some astringency. This is the 4th year I have been to this tasting and I have learnt that Dugat Py make their Burgundies on the large side. For that reason I was able to pick this as the Dugat Py in this blind tasting knowing the identities but not the order of service. Also my least pointed in this 9 wine bracket.
