This is not what I'd expect from a young Soldera, but what a wild ride. The nose was layered and intense with rich cherry and prune, followed by ash, dark soil tones, minerals and sweet tea. On the palate, it was silky and vibrant to the core with zesty acidity, showing ripe cherry, exotic spice, cedar, sweet herbs and inner floral tones. This finished lingered on the ripest and juiciest cherry fruit you can imagine. Through this all, a backdrop of fine tannin lurked, yet seldomly got in the way. Incredible.

Sometimes opening the wine people bring in feels like landing a plane that has no pilot, no tower, no radio. At a successful touch down, everyone disembarks and enjoys their day and wine without interruption. But if I crashed the landing, the passengers night would have turned tragically for the worse.

Gorgeous. Sour cherry and crush stones. Immensely concentrated and sweet, but weightless. Finish goes on forever with great acid and silky tannins. My first Soldera and it exceeded immense expectations.

This was was youthful & structured still mostly primary that will need more time. Very enjoyable but not sure if it will reach the level of the 04.
