The 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva is dark, plush and enveloping. Black cherry, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and lavender infuse this supple Riserva with lovely nuance and character. Silky tannins add to the wine's forward appeal. This is very nicely done in a forward style that is likely best suited to near and medium term drinking. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2019)

My wife was making a puttanesca pasta (my recipe) and thought the recent 2015 might go well. 100% Sangiovese, aged for 12 months on oak!! Medium ruby color with aromas of red berry fruits. On the palate the wine shows fruit forward with cherry and plums, currant like with slight vanilla notes. Tannins are firm with bright acidity noted. Lingering finish, overall good value for this Chianti. Went perfect with the pasta. Can benefit from short term aging.

Powerful. Black currant and cherry. Some iron notes. A modern-style chianti classico riserva. Excellent.

Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits, smoke & cedar notes. On the palate blackberry and ripe cherry flavors with oak and earthy notes. Long finish, firm tight tannins, ending with smoke and espresso notes. Nice! But wait a year or 2.

Nice Chianti that I only paid $21 for at Costco. Definitely a old world wine that opened up after the second day. I could see it tasting better on the third day but I definitely want to drink whatever is left of a right now. If I can hold myself I'll add to the review tomorrow
