Carnival Wine Company Brut Rosé 2022, Sonoma County, California

Pale salmon in color.

Fruity nose of raspberries, tart cherries, yeast, light brioche, citrus, green apples and minerals.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and medium plus size bubbles.

Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, yeast, green apples, peaches, spices, sea salt and light herbs.

Nice length on the finish with light tannins, limes and pomegranates.

This is a delicious sparkling Rosé from Sonoma County. Fruit forward and elegant. Complex and nicely balanced, crisp and refreshing. Tangy and interesting.

Feels like a Rosé Champagne, and I really enjoyed the nose once it opened up. Loved the low alcohol level here.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years. Would be nice to revisit it in a few years and see how it evolves.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 60 minutes of airtime, when the complexity shines.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. Paired beautifully with my Schnitzel with Mushroom Gravy.

A blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Aged on the lees for 30 months, in 60% Stainless Steel vats and 40% in neutral oak barrels.

12.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.
