Bedrock Vineyard Zinfandel
Drinking quite nicely and balanced at this point. I don't see benefits to further cellaring.

Apr 9th, 2023Not my cup. Lead, stems, hints of blue fruit. And unexpected profile for Zin. Perhaps past peak?

Jul 15th, 2022A bit jammy, but good balancing acidity. No detectable alcohol. Could use a bit more spice profile, but very silky and enjoyable. Day two is hitting full stride.

Jan 3rd, 2019Old-school jammy, if that’s a thing. Some restraint and elegance, but big fruit. This came alive with air. Nice subtleties on the nose - herbs, flowers, dark berries, leather. The palette gained in energy with air, complementing the sharp tannins. Personally I wish I’d given this more time, allowing for the fruit to fade.

Sep 26th, 2018Moderate purple in color. Expressive nose of blackberry, black licorice, baking chocolate, mint, and hints of smoke. On the palate, it's medium bodied with impressive fruit intensity and tannin without oppressive heat despite coming in at 15.3% alcohol. Made from a field blend of 90% Zinfandel and 10% mixed blacks including Mourvèdre, Petit Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, and others, it is sourced from historic Bedrock Vineyard's 120 year-old 6' tall gobelet pruned vines in a pocket of relative warmth compared to the surrounding Sonoma Valley. It has both the fruit to please now and the structure to go the distance. SRP $47.
