I'm really glad I bought this bottle as I haven't have this as a single varietal before. Really light garnet color here that I found intriguing. A red fruit and funk nose. On the palate, the red fruit is lovely, but this is also smoky and bacony. A great white pepper finish as well... I love this!

Unique pick. Leathery, smoky, juicy but dry. Rhône region transport to South Africa.

Chalky, hibiscus, raspberry, musky but in a clean way, the acid and chalk give the raspberry a great minerally, ruby red, the acid is juicy

Pairs well with rivers, trees, testing out new mushrooms in the suburbs. Signed up for a master class in “things you’ll never have”

Light in color, reminds me of the color of a poppy field. Beautiful acidity up front, red berries at the end with a good amount of tannin. Lovely with kedgeree, and would be great with any light fish dish, pork, or eggplant. Can’t wait to drink again - especially with the sun shining down outside!

2018 in 9/21. Caraluzzis in Danbury @ dads. Better w food. Would like to try an older one. Leans more Pinot feel than anything else. Solid.
