Dark red fruit, but still bright. Smooth tannins. Roses. Medium-length finish, but even longer subtle berry flavor stays in mouth. Wouldn't stand up to steak, but I bet it's great with lighter dark meats. Looks and tastes older than it is. Fascinating grape. Sort of like a more tannic Pinot. First time I've heard of it.

This Barbera is flavorful, fruity, and gently dry....well balanced. The complex flavors mask the 13.5% alcohol content (go nerds). Aromas are red fruit, vanilla, and pleasant earthiness. Medium to high acidity makes you want to reach for salami, pasta, or cheese. Wait for the finish and you will find cherries and hint of pink peppercorn.

Nov 6th, 2015Translucence reds with copper tones, light current ant plum notes with a petrol finish on the nose. Light in body. Light berry with heavy plum finish with a touch of spice. Tannins are more distinct lower in the mouth
