Rioja Garnacha

Nose: Oak, hay, spice, pepper, mixed berries

Deep red color

Tannins, dehydrated cherry, bright on the palate, dry finish.

All I can think of is...dirty cocoa? And not in a good way. I'll drink it but not a fave.

I may have rated this wonderful Rioja before, but every time I have it with my meal I enjoy it all over again. Very good, highly recommended.

Different but delicious. Smooth finish.

This didn't have much depth on flavor. Good sipping wine without a meal.

Simply red fruit. Pleasant. $10

Sample. First vintage of Garnacha. Definitely buy again.

Tried this about a year later. Clear light Ruby color. Red fruit aromas with tobacco notes. Palate shows sour cherry flavors, softer but noticeable tannins, acidity calmed down a bit. Still a little out of balance but better with a little time.

Might have had a bad bottle. Did not like.
