Julia's Vineyard Pinot Noir

Somehow green, yet funky. A delicious spring mildew

2013 vintage. Fairly dark. Raspberry, white pepper, mushroom. Medium bodied. 13.5% ABV.

2013 vintage. Quite dark garnet, nearly opaque, with some mulling spice on the nose. Medium bodied Pinot, wild wineberry, a little white pepper and mushroomy earthiness, mild tannins. Fairly dry. 13.5% ABV.

Nice wine but the acidity is a little overpowering and not allowing some of the berry flavors to reach their potential. I think some time or even decanting might help the wine, next time

aromas show a little earth, funk, vinyl, little cinnamon
flavors of wood, cherry, a little vegetal, nice clean light cherry finish.

Smooth.

Great with surf n turf in New Jersey

Very pleasant but not a complex Pinot. Floral, red berries, with a touch of oak. Right amount of acidity. Lack of depth. Wish for more minerality.

Bright red fruit nice acid silky finish. This single vineyard pinot noir is very good for the cost!
