An excellent Pinot Noir from Oregon that presents aromas of rhubarb, sour cherry and herbs on the nose. Lush mouthfeel, zippy acidity with flavours of cherries, rhubarb and cola - there’s also a hint of mushroom or forest floor on the finish. I paired it with cheeseburger sliders and it was delicious.

JL Oregon tasting 9/12/17. $17. Brooks died suddenly in '08. Now biodynamic. Fruity and floral cherry nose. Very Oregon. Carry through to palate and quite lively. It's nicely balanced. 4800 cases. Native yeast. Good value.

Juicy, ripe entry level Willamette Valley Pinot. Doesn't have quite as much damp, earthy character as I expect Willamette Pinot to have but its good nonetheless; almost comes across like a lighter Grenache or a riper Gamay Noir. Sappy strawberry and raspberry red fruit, potpourri, anise-y spice, potting soil, birch bark earth on the nose. Palate is very similar but with the red fruit character a bit brighter and more high toned and with the addition of a fresh reed apple skin note. Body is medium (-), acid medium (+), tannin fine grained and of low intensity. Great daily drinker, simple but fresh and tasty.
