Dark color. Nose has singed raspberries, graphite, sandalwood, sandstoney gravel. Pretty extracted and tannic for a Grenache, with ripe, but dark and bitter-ish black raspberry. Loads of soft but puckery tannin. Was decent with pasta but would shine with a steak.
UPDATE: Night 2, the fruit is sweeter, and there's no bitterness. So the moral of the story is give this plenty of air. Upping score from 8.8 to 9.0
