Quadrupel Three Philosophers Malt

Fantastic quad. Great maltiness on the nose and palate, coupled with hints of bread yeast and a subtle sweetness. Served a bit too cold for starters, but as it warmed up the complexity became apparent. Much more interesting than a lot of quads, in my opinion, because the brewmaster seems to have dialed back on the sweetness just enough so that it’s not cloying. Really good beer.
