Jul 27th, 2018 A very restrained nose when opened but no flaws detected . It began to open after 45 minutes in the decanter. The nose started to show some apples and honey. Perked up in the mouth thanks to some good acidity. Butterscotch, pear and spicy oak dominated on the palate . Medium finish. Based on this bottle probably a few years left but YMMV given how many off bottles are out there.

Not a pristine bottle. It was a little oxidized and disappointing.

in the zone—excellent. Really on fire. Lovely nose, soft mouthfeel, but nice acidity and drive with lemon custard, minerals, length, and a twang at the end that adds interest. Super wine. More than I expected.

Thank goodness no premox which has been an issue with this vintage. Lemon, apple, creme brûlée, very light and fresh on the palette with good acidity
