Feb 17th, 2019Delicious. Really bright and absorbing nose. The fruit is savory and oily with real Corton Charlie character. Leaner, but great power lurking here. This has legs and great aging potential but is fresh and super balanced now.

Took THREE hours to open up so do not, I repeat do not, expect this to show well at all out of the bottle. In fact the immediate impression is “what’s all this about, really?” Patience will be rewarded. Explosion of stone fruits and white flowers followed by a touch of honey infused in some bright acidity. Texturally beautiful too.

Loads of vibrancy and tension. I found this to be the most expressive of the vertical. Open and delicious. Matchstick and crisp pear. A big thank you to @romo for contributing this vertical of BDM Corton-Charlemagne!
