Actually surprisingly great for a mystery red sold at €1.50 a glass with no proper label. Herbal and spicy on the nose with just a little wood, brambly and wild with hints of violet. Great poise and acidity on the palate with some prickly pepper and fresh cut herbal notes, and no clumsy tannins or bitter tang like some inexpensive Spanish offerings. A winner, and a perfect compliment to jamón iberico de bellota.
