Very old school Tempranillo. Tart/austere cranberry & cherry mixed with leather, olive, and citrus peel. Almost a little too austere for me,...

100% Tempranillo from 3 regions via the Masevau family. Intense ripe aromas; cigar box, leather olive spice. Palate is ripe and forward a blocky tannins & mouthwatering acidity.

A tremendous wine for the price. It is a beautiful, inky, purple/black. A bit of funk on the nose at first, but that dispersed, and aromas of raspberry tart, violets, spice and wet soil after a rain began to show. Lots of blackberry and blueberry flavor with prominent, but pleasant, tannic grip. Secondary flavors of tobacco, licorice, earth, and spice. Huge finish. I snagged the last bottle of '09 at the shop and can't wait to taste the '10.

Wonderfully juicy and spicy wood. Dark chocolate and wet earth with notes of cigar box. So smooth. A must.

Some barnyard. Nice fruit but a little light. Too modern for me. Blackberry. Good but not awesome. Cheap 23$.
